Wimbledon Windmilers will be hosting their annual Jim Braben Memorial 10k on July 3, and there are still places available.
The race is held in memory of one of the club's founding members, who also coached at Hercules Wimbledon.
In 1980, Braben set up a group of runners of all abilities called "Jim's Joggers" which met at the windmill on Wimbledon Common, and very soon it became a club in its own right.
This year’s open 10k starts at 9am on The Causeway and entry costs £15 for those affiliated to English Athletics, £17 for non-affiliated runners, and £20 on the day for everyone. All profits will be donated to Wimbledon Guild.
To sign up go to windmilers.org.uk - entry is limited and may not be available on the day.
