The competition involved schools that would love to make a ‘mini Meadow’ grown inside the strangest object that you can Imagine. It could be in a bucket, a wheelbarrow, an old boat like at the London In Bloom launch at the Olympic Park, in lots of mouldy footballs or just somewhere within the school grounds.
WCPS’s winning design has an Olympic theme, using tyres painted Gold, Silver and Bronze filled with soil and wildflower seed sown, the design also included the modification of their bughouse roof to take wildflowers.
The school received a cheque for £50 and invited to an award ceremony near the Olympic Park.
