A man has been taken to hospital after being involved in a fight opposite a Morden nursery.

Police were called to reports of a fight involving three men at the corner of Martin Way and Links Avenue, opposite the Morden BusyBees nursery, at 3.51pm.

The man has been taken to St George's hospital after he sustained cuts from a "sharp instrument" but police did not describe the incident as a stabbing.

Parents whose children attend the nursery were informed of the incident by text.

One witness said a baseball bat was used in the fight but police were not able to confirm what weapons were used.

Police added there have been no arrests at this time.
