A teenager has been found not guilty of stabbing a Tamil father to death.
Dwayne Roberts, 18, was acquitted of murdering Sri Lankan Tamil family man Akilankumar Kanthasamy outside the New Horizon Centre, in South Lodge Avenue, Pollards Hill, in October 2011.
Mr Roberts, who lives in a youth hostel in Mitcham Lane, Streatham, was cleared of all charges after a week-long trial at the Old Bailey.
Mr Kanthasamy, 28, was attending at the New Horizon Centre for a family party on the night of his death to celebrate the birth of his one-year-old baby girl.
He was stabbed once in the heart after a punch up, which he was not involved in, broke out between rival groups of Sri Lankan and black youths after a the latter group robbed the Sri Lankans of cannabis.
