Five students have won £3,000 for a charity after delivering an “inspiring” presentation to a panel of judges.
Raynes Park High School’s Oliver Wood, Hollie Peel, Amelia Gates, Charlotte Leman and Catarina Miguel won the cash for Born Too Soon, based in Kingston Hospital, which supports families of babies born prematurely.
The school’s headteacher, Phillip Wheatley, said: “Raynes Park High School is extremely fortunate to have so many students who care for the local community and are willing to put in so much time and effort in order to try to better the lives of others.”
The students won the competition on April 26 after their presentation convinced the judges their bid was “passionate, thought-provoking, inspiring and informative.”
