You probably didn't know that Merton and Wimbledon has its own Facebook page.
There are a number of historic pictures on the page now showing scenes from the are in previous decades. I got the idea after feeling that some of the photos in my album should come out of the album and go onto Facebook where they could not only be seen by more people but could be enlarged too, giving them a new lease of life!
Some pictures are taken on amateur equipment but I think they rank as interesting enough to go on the page.
