Local start-up business Work Free is working with venues around Wimbledon, to trial a one-day informal 'coworking' space – with free WiFi, drink refills all day, and the opportunity to meet other coworkers. Founder Gaynor Pates says "Mums are missing from our workforce, unnecessary travel is becoming more unjustifiable, the freelancing sector is growing and many of us want more time with our families. For all these reasons and more, I am trying to find ways to create great, shared spaces and services that enhance our daily lives. I want Work Free to offer much better value than coffee shops, and a credible alternative to trekking to your employer’s office if you want to stay local and work more flexibly."
Children aged 0-4 may be booked in to the creche, at the same venue, for up to 4 hours, whilst parents work, or just relax!
The first Work Free event is at the Antoinette Hotel on Wimbledon Broadway on 15 February 2012.
