The Sacred Heart Parish in Edge Hill Wimbledon hosts a Christmas lunch every year for those who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day. This year 95 guests were entertained by a team of 40 volunteers and a further 80 volunteers helped in the run up to the event, wrapping presents, buying food and decorating the Church Hall. The Mayor of Merton, Councillor Gilli Lewis-Lavender, was welcomed by the Parish Priest, Fr Keith McMillan.
