Every year the Sacred Heart parish in Edge Hill, Wimbledon invites everyone who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day to a Christmas Lunch in the Parish Hall.
This year 95 guests were entertained by 40 volunteers and another 80 volunteers also helped with the shopping, present wrapping, and decorating the Hall on Christmas Eve. Even children helped by making Christmas cards and the menus.
The Parish Priest, Fr Keith McMillan SJ, welcomed the Mayor of Merton, Councillor Gilli Lewis-Lavender to the event which was organised by parishioners Louise Cooper and Kate Kirkland.
