Dear Sirs, We are inviting your readers to come and visit our Hampton hospice, Shooting Star House.
We will be holding Open Days on Friday 17 June from 10am - 5pm and Saturday 18 June from 10am to 3pm.
It is a great opportunity for readers to come and see the fantastic facilities that we offer to over 500 local families that rely on our vital support.
Join us for coffee and cakes. We will take you on a tour of the hospice where you will visit the sensory room, or the Cosmos Therapy Zone with music therapy and complementary therapies and you will have the opportunity to chat to our care staff and volunteers.
We ask that you get in touch beforehand to pre-book your tour. You can call 020 8481 8180 or for more information email opendays@shootingstarchase.org.uk We hope to see you there.
With best wishes, Juliette Gillard Head of PR & Communications P.S. In order to preserve their privacy no children, teenagers or families will be using Christopher’s on the day, allowing people to see all our facilities for themselves.
For further press information please contact: Juliette Gillard, Head of PR & Communications t: 01483 454213 e: juliette.gillard@shootingstarchase.org.uk Notes to editors: Shooting Star CHASE is the children's hospice service, supporting local families with a child or teenager not expected to reach their 19th birthday. The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice and CHASE hospice care for children were originally two separate charities merging on 1 April 2011. Shooting Star CHASE currently helps over 500 families living in western London, Surrey and West Sussex. We are committed to caring for these families. We are here for every step of their journey, sharing the good times, and helping them through the tough times with practical, nursing and emotional support.
Families receive our support free of charge, 365 days a year, in their own homes and communities and at our children’s hospices. With no guaranteed Government funding we must raise £23,000 a day to continue our vital service.
