Wednesday, May 18 was bin collection day in Grasmere Avenue, Morden.
The road looked more like Garth Road Amenity Dump than a residential street as I walked though to Morden station at 6.30am.
The footpaths were so obliterated with residential garbage that several times I had to walk into the road to get past.
I thought our council had warned that any resident who placed their weekly rubbish outside their homes in plastics bags prior to 6am would be fined.
This is obviously not happening and the foxes and vermin obviously know it is an open buffet in Grasmere Avenue every Tuesday night.
It was absolutely disgusting. Have these residents no pride in where they live or a desire to maintain a clean and healthy environment?
