A Mitcham drug dealer has been jailed after selling crack cocaine and heroin to undercover police officers.
Donovan Clarke, 42, sold the drugs to Bromley police officers in Penge on six separate occasions between October 27 and November 25 last year.
He was jailed for four years and three months at Croydon Crown Court on May 6 after pleading guilty to five charges of supplying crack cocaine and two counts of supplying heroin.
Clarke was arrested as part of Bromley police’s Operation Salsa, which targetted Class A drug dealers in Penge and Beckenham from October to December last year.
In total, 10 people were arrested and charged with 42 offences relating to supplying controlled drugs and money laundering.
Four of these people have already been jailed for a total of more than 10 years, and five others are awaiting trial.
During the operation, officers seized drugs with a combined street value of £155,150, as well as £33,000 in cash.
Detective Inspector Jerry Troon, of Bromley police’s CID, said “This operation has proved to be a major success in our fight against drug-related crime on the streets of Bromley.”
