A speed bump could be altered after complaints about it causing damage to cars and buses.
Merton Council has ordered the height of the pedestrian crossing on Coombe Lane, outside Raynes Park Station, to be reviewed.
The council received a complaint from a Raynes Park resident, who said the newly raised crossing is too steep.
The resident said: “Ramps are far, far too steep. They cause damage to bus passengers and car drivers alike, even if driving at 10-15mph.”
Councillor Andrew Judge, Merton's cabinet member for regeneration, said: “A big priority for us is to make our roads as safe as possible.
“Improving the raised pedestrian crossing is one way we have done this but we need to make sure they are a reasonable height.”
As well as the review, the council has asked the contractor to undertake any necessary measures to fix the problem.
Coun Judge added: “This will be completed by early May.”
The road was raised as part of a street scene improvement scheme along the road.
Do you think the speed bump is too big? What do you think should be done to improve traffic in Raynes Park?
