On Saturday, February 5, at around 5pm, a black A3 Audi reversed into my garage and then left the scene.
Lucky there were witnesses, but they where only able to give a description of the car, make, colour, model and the driver, but sadly not the number plate.
I keep thinking when he reversed, what would have happened if someone was passing when he reversed? What would have been the outcome then?
I took a walk up and down the road he left by; nowhere could I see CCTV cameras except one place near the railway crossing. One was pointing in the direction he came from and the other on a corner.
I contacted Merton council who told me they are not 24hrs CCTV and they don't work - they haven't for a long period!
Sir, whomever you are, even do its too late to deal with this between you and I, I am asking you and your conscience to please come forward.
I believe this can still be dealt with, considering that you may have panicked and hit the accelerator instead of the brake.
I am fully aware that your car must be severely damaged at the back - that alone will cost a lot of money - so please think about your actions, think what you would expect from someone who did this to you and how you would feel.
To anyone who knows of a person with the description, and type of car (if there is damage to their car), please contact me.
I am willing to forgive and deal with this like the best way and that's the old way, like real men.
