A suspected stabbing at Merton College is under investigation by the police.
The attack is thought to have happened at 2pm today, during a fight between two young men in the car park at the front of the college.
Police were called to the college by staff, but those involved in the fight had fled by the time officers arrived on the scene.
Police did notice blood on the ground where the fight had taken place, and a college spokesman later said that they thought a knife had been used in the attack.
The college said it was co-operating with the investigation, and had handed CCTV footage over to police officers.
It is not yet known whether the men involved in the fight were students at the college, and classes continuted as normal this afternoon - although part of the car park was sealed off by police.
