A fire broke out in a garden shed in Mitcham this morning, causing extensive damage to nearby flats.
Firefighters were called to the scene on Edmund Road at 8.36am on December 2 after a blaze engulfed a lean-to shed used as a bike workshop.
The fire completely destroyed the shed, a ground-floor flat, half of a first-floor flat, and a section of the roof.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Mitcham, Wimbledon, and Tooting fire stations worked to bring the flames under control.
The fire was extinguished by 10.03am.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
