A man in his 20s is in hospital after being stabbed near Farringdon train station.  

Officers were called to reports of a blood trail in Yardley Street, Clerkenwell just before 8am today (November 14).

Police attended, however, there was no sign of any injured victims or suspects at the scene. 

Shortly after 9am, a man presented himself at hospital with a stab injury, his condition was assessed as non-life threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries into the circumstances continue.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 8.02am to reports of a blood trail in Yardley Street, WC1.

“Officers attended but no victims or suspects were located.

“Shortly after 09:00hrs a man aged in his 20s presented himself at hospital with a stab injury.

“His injuries are not being treated as life-threatening or life-changing.

“No arrests have been made.

“Enquiries continue.

“Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or message @MetCC on X quoting CAD 1400/14NOV.
