A total of 13 London bus routes will be undergoing changes throughout the last weekend in June, with both temporary and new timetables.
TfL buses align with the Mayor’s Transport Strategy aiming for 80 per cent of journeys via foot, bike, or public transport by 2041.
There is currently a bus fleet of around 9,300 buses in London, which follow 675 different routes.
The latest timetable changes are in place to help “match demand, deliver value for money and allow TfL to invest in outer London”.
The following timetable changes will take place from Saturday, June 29:
Route 211 will be changed to run from Hammersmith Upper Bus Station to Battersea Power Station via Charing Cross Hospital, Fulham Broadway, King's Road, Sloane Square and Chelsea Bridge. Route 77 will now start and finish on the Upper Taxi Road at Waterloo Station.
Route 211 will now run from Hammersmith Upper Bus Station via its current route to Sloane Square where it will be rerouted via Lower Sloane Street, Chelsea Bridge Road, Chelsea Bridge, Queenstown Road, Queen's Circus, Prince Of Wales Drive and Battersea Park Road to terminate at Battersea Power Station. The current section of route between Sloane Square and Waterloo will no longer be served by route 211 however passengers can still use route 11 which will cover the withdrawn section of route 211. Passengers can interchange between the 11 and 211 in both directions at the Sloane Square bus stops located on Lower Sloane Street.
Route 211 will continue to run every 8-9 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays, every 10 minutes during the daytime on Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.
First buses on route 211 will continue to depart Hammersmith Bus Station at 5.05am and from Battersea Power Station at 5.25am on all days of the week. Last buses will depart Hammersmith Upper Bus Station at 12am and from Battersea Power Station at 12.10 on all days of the week.
Route 77 will have its routeing and stops amended at Waterloo Station. Towards Waterloo route 77 will no longer serve bus stop F at County Hall or the current last stop on Concert Hall Approach. Instead, buses will be rerouted via Station Approach Road to Cab Road setting down by entrance / exit number 3 at Waterloo mainline station.
On departure to Tooting route 77 buses will pick up from bus stop B on Cab Road before re-joining the current routeing on York Road. Route 77 buses will no longer pick up from bus stop T on Concert Hall Approach.
A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 31 which will widen the frequency of the service to a bus every 12 minutes during the daytime and evening on all days of the week. This temporary timetable will give buses more time to complete journeys during HS2 works on Kilburn High Road.
24-hour route 85 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels. Buses will now run every 10 minutes during both the daytime and evening on all days of the week. The night service will continue to run every 30 minutes on all nights of the week.
The temporary timetable will be removed from 24 hour route 88 with the service returning to run every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 12 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays. The night service will continue to run every 30 minutes on all nights of the week.
Route 328 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
Route 406 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
Route 418 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
Route 440 will have a new timetable from this date with minor changes to times. The Sunday daytime frequency will be increased to a bus every 15 minutes and the evening frequency will also be increased to every 20 minutes on all days of the week. No change to the frequency at any other time. The times of first buses will also change on all days of the week from this date. First buses on route 440 will now depart at 5am from Turnham Green to Wembley Stadium instead of at 5.55am on Monday to Saturdays and 6.55am on Sundays. First buses from Wembley Stadium to Turnham Green will now depart at 5am instead of at 5.55am on Monday to Saturdays and 7.20am on Sundays.
Route 465 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. Route 465 will be operated by Transport UK from this date.
Route C1 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
The temporary timetable will be removed from route E8 with the service returning to run every 8 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 10 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.
The temporary timetable will be removed from route H91 with the service returning to run every 10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and every 15 minutes during the evening and all day on Sundays.
