A pub in Wimbledon has reopened following a major six-figure renovation.
Greene King pub The Leather Bottle, in Kingston Road, now boasts a brand-new look and feel, after closing its doors in early May for substantial works.
The interiors of the popular community pub have undergone a complete makeover to offer a fresh and modern atmosphere.
It has an open plan layout cleverly divided into zones for different occasions, such as a cocktail area, a TV-free dining section, a sports bar with lots of TVs, and a new outdoor pergola.
The redesign includes bookable booths and a champagne table, providing cosy and private spaces to relax with friends and family.
Toilets in The Leather Bottle have also been refurbished.
Perhaps the most significant expansion has taken place in the garden, which now features more than 100 covered areas, with almost 60 of these covered and heated.
A charming pergola has been added, providing different comfortable seating options, mood lighting and heating - and acting as an extra mini function room.
The Leather Bottle offers Sky and TNT sports, ensuring sports fans do not miss any major matches throughout the year.
The pub is also registered on the Greene King Sport App offering several deals.
Ashleigh Chamberlain, general manager of The Leather Bottle said: "Our brilliant team at The Leather Bottle, are excited to showcase our new and improved pub to the local community.
"We’re looking forward to welcoming both new and old customers!
"The renovation has given the pub a new lease of life, and we’re confident that customers will love our improved facilities, whether they’re looking for a drink with friends, a meal with the family, booking a party, or enjoying a sporting event, there really is something for everyone!"
The Greene King pub will continue its regular programme of events, including psychic nights and Thursday quiz nights.
It has also been renovated just in time for the upcoming summer of sports, which includes the Wimbledon tennis tournament and the UEFA Euros.
The project has created around 20 new job opportunities for residents.
The Leather Bottle reopened on June 8 and more details can be found by visiting the Greene King website.
