A person has died following a crash near South Wimbledon tube station.

Paramedics were called to reports of a crash at 10.04am this morning (April 4) at the junction of Morden Road and Merton High Street.

London Ambulance Service sent ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer.

They first arrived on scene in under six minutes, but a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

We have contacted the Metropolitan n Police for further information.

A London ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 10.04am this morning (April 8) to reports of a road traffic collision at the Junction of Morden Road Merton High Street, SW19.

“We dispatched resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic and incident response officer.

“Our first paramedic was on the scene in under six minutes.

“Sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
