Police are hunting for an attempted murder suspect after someone reportedly tried to push a woman in front of a train.

Officers were called to Leicester Square just after 3.30pm on Monday, November 6.

The victim was reported to have been standing on the platform inside Leicester Square station where she saw the suspect arguing with an elderly man.

The suspect then walked over, grabbed her arm and started dragging her.

Briefly, she got away from the suspect.

But, as the train approached the platform, the suspect grabbed the victim’s arm again and started pushing her towards the tracks.

Two passengers nearby intervened and pulled her away from him.

The suspect is then reported to have boarded the train.

Police have described the suspect as a male believed to be in his late 20’s with a muscular build, wearing a beige scarf over his head and a short puffer jacket.
