People are being advised to “avoid” the area after a car crashed into the building of The Study Preparation School.
Police officers were called just before 10am to the school in Camp Road and are at the scene along with units from London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.
A major incident has been declared with nine people currently injured.
In a tweet, Merton Council advised people to “avoid the area” to allow emergency services to gain access to the area.
It confirmed that its representatives are currently working with the emergency services that are at the scene.
