Police are looking to speak to two boys who were the victim of a robbery outside TKMaxx on Wimbledon Broadway yesterday (February 14).
At around 4.30pm, a gang of five males wearing balaclavas surrounded the two boys and allegedly stole a phone from them.
Police managed to catch the five suspects and arrest them but were unable to find the two victims.
They have now launched an appeal to try and trace the two boys to assist with the investigation.
Merton Police described it as a “very different appeal today because the crime has been solved before they have even spoken to the victim”.
Officers are asking the pair to come forward or for anyone with any further information to contact them quoting crime reference number 1401934/23.
A spokesperson for Merton Police said: “A very different appeal today because the crime has been solved, suspects arrested before we've even spoken to the victim.
“On 14th February 2023 at around 4:30pm an alleged robbery happened near TKMaxx, on the Broadway, Wimbledon.
“A phone was taken from two young victims who were surrounded by five males, wearing balaclavas.
“Local units caught all five but were unable to locate the two initial victims.
“We are trying to trace the victims to assist with the investigation, so if it was you, or you know who it was, please call us on 101 quoting reference 1401934/23.
