A fire broke out at an industrial warehouse in Merton earlier today.
Firefighters were called to a fire on Hallowfield Way in Merton this morning (August 12) at 9.21am.
Around three squared metres of recycling waste were alight.
Four fire engines and 25 firefighters from Mitcham, Sutton and Tooting fire stations attended the scene.
The fire was under control by 10.42am.
The cause of the fire will be investigated.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire on Hallowfield Way in Merton.
“Firefighters tackled a fire at an industrial warehouse, where around three squared metres of recycling waste were alight.
“The Brigade was called at 0921 and the fire was under control by 1042.
“Fire crews from Mitcham, Sutton and Tooting fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire will be investigated.”
