A youth has been arrested in Morden after police conducted a search and found a black handgun.
Police were on patrol in the area and claim that a group of young people fled when they saw the officers.
A thorough search of the youths was carried out and one of the members of the group allegedly had a black handgun.
One youth was arrested and taken for questioning.
The validity of the gun was investigated by police.

A spokesperson from Merton Police said: “Great work from PCs Green, Owens + Morley who were proactively patrolling in #Morden when a group of youths star-bursted off on their heels.
