A man has been taken to hospital after being rescued from a maisonette fire in Morden.
Firefighters were called to the scene shortly after 11.30pm on March 26 in Marham Gardens.
The Brigade tackled the fire in a three-roomed maisonette where the ground floor of the building was damaged by the blaze.
A cat was also treated by a local vet following the incident.
The fire was under control by 12.18am.
Fire crews from Mitcham, Sutton and Wimbledon fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Firefighters rescued a man from a maisonette fire on Marham Gardens in Morden.
“Part of the living room of a three-roomed maisonette on the ground floor of the building was damaged by fire.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a man from a bedroom who was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
“A cat was treated by a local vet.
“The Brigade was called at 11.33pm and the fire was under control by 00.18am.
“Fire crews from Mitcham, Sutton and Wimbledon fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.”
