Merton Friends of the Earth is set to plant 420 trees in Morden Park.
The group is asking for people to come and help plant the saplings on March 19.
Merton Friends of the Earth is a community group made up of volunteers who campaign for a greener planet on both a national and local level.
The tree planting activity is to support an ongoing campaign by the group to double the tree cover in Merton which is hoped will increase biodiversity, help tackle climate change and support the wellbeing of people who live in the area.
Friends of the Earth volunteers previously planted 450 saplings in Morden Park in December 2020 during a similar event.
There are two sessions throughout March 19, with the morning session running from 9.30am to 1pm and the afternoon session from 1.30pm till 5pm.
Volunteers are asked to register on their website and contact them if they have any questions.
The event is hosted in collaboration with the Merton Tree Wardens.
