A person has died after being hit by a train at Raynes Park station.
Officers were called to the station yesterday (January 13) following reports of a “casualty on the tracks.”
Paramedics had also attended following the incident.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers say the incident is not being treated as “suspicious”.
A file will be prepared for the coroner, according to British Transport Police (BTP).
A spokesperson for BTP said: " Officers were called to Raynes Park station at 12.25pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
