THIEVES crashed a car into a Tesco Express store in Norbiton.

Police were called at 2.45am today (December 29), to a Tesco in The Triangle, Norbiton.

A car was left smashed into the building, which was closed at the time, while the thieves fled in a separate dark-coloured estate vehicle.

Police say there have been no arrests made.

Officers from South-West Command continue to investigate.

Anyone who witnessed this incident but has not yet spoken with police should call 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting 729/29DEC.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 02:54hrs on Wednesday, 29 December to reports of a burglary at commercial premises at The Triangle, Norbiton.

“Police attended the scene and found a vehicle had been driven into the store.

“The suspects left the vehicle at the scene and fled in a separate dark-coloured estate car.

“The premises was closed at the time of the burglary.

“At this early stage, there have been no arrests.

“Officers from South-West Command investigate.
