Hobbycraft has announced the opening of its store in Plough Lane Retail Park, Wimbledon.
To celebrate the new store, Hobbycraft is also hosting a grand opening event on Saturday December 4 at 9.00am.
The event is set to offer activities and free goody bags to the first 100 customers.
The new shop has created 17 new jobs in the local area and has recruited expert staff for the roles.
The store intends to offer customers the retailers’ range of crafting products catering for beginners, experts, kids, crafters and party planners.
It will also offer a selection of Christmas crafting workshops, including gift making, wreath making and creating advent calendars.
The staff will be on hand to provide their knowledge of crafts, such as knitting, papercraft, baking and sketching.
Store Manager, Andrew Morgan said: “We have seen more people than ever take up crafting during the COVID-19 pandemic and we are inviting you to come down to your new local store and shop with us safely.
“We look forward to providing our Wimbledon customers with the ultimate retail experience, combined with fantastic crafting products at great prices.”
The store will open in line with government guidelines, with social distancing and extensive safety measures in place.
Hobbycraft Wimbledon store will be open Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 8.00pm, Saturday 9.00am to 7.00pm and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm.
