Man arrested on suspicion of rape in Morden after 16-year-old girl's report
A man was arrested in Morden on suspicion of rape after a 16-year-old girl made a report to police early this morning.
Police were called to Aberconway Road, outside Iceland, at around 1am.
They found a 16-year-old girl at the scene who made a report of attempted rape.
Following inquiries, officers arrested a man close to the scene on suspicion of rape.
He has been taken in custody to a police station in south London.
The investigation is ongoing and a crime scene, pictured this morning, remains in place.
