Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a moped rider was killed in a collision in Merton on Saturday.
Met Police say the 25-year-old rider collided with a car on St Helier Avenue, close to Netley Gardens in Morden.
It is believed that two cars were travelling at speed prior to one of them colliding with the moped, and both drivers have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Met Police say would like to speak to any witnesses of the crash, or the moments leading up to it, anyone who has dashcam footage or any other information.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating, and say officers and the London Ambulance Service were called to the crash at 4:21pm on Saturday, May 29.
Despite their efforts, the 25-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene at 17:01hrs.
Officers are in the process of informing his next of kin.
At this early stage, it is believed that two cars were travelling at speed prior to one of them being in collision with the moped.
Both drivers have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. They have been taken to south London police stations where they remain in custody.
