A car has crashed into a traffic light at South Wimbledon tube station.
No one was injured in the crash which happened on Monday, April 16, at around 10pm when a black Toyota Prius car hit the traffic light and mounted the pavement.
Janet Snell, a South Wimbledon resident who happened to see the incident after getting off the tube, said: "We came out to find the car sprawled across the pavement and debris everywhere.
"At some times of the day that's a very busy corner so I guess we should be grateful no pedestrians were injured. The emergency services were on the scene and it was good to see they had it all under control."
A Met Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 10.36pm to reports of a vehicle in a collision with a believed parked car which resulted in it hitting a traffic light.
“There have been no reported injuries.”
The London Ambulance service also attended.
