There is disruption on Southwestern trains this morning after an earlier train fault at Raynes Park.
The rail operator said this morning (January 9) that ‘some’ southbound lines have now reopened, although ‘services running through this station may be delayed or revised’.
Disruption is expected until 9am.
In a statement on its website, Southwestern said: “Our control centre received reports of a broken down train at Raynes Park. The train crew made contact with our engineers and worked to ascertain the problem and get the train on the move. Until this could be done one of the lines heading out of London was blocked, and trains may be delayed, or diverted to avoid a queue building up in the area.
“We are sorry for any disruption to your journey this morning.”
Overall on the Southwestern network, the Kingston/Shepperton, Chessington/Epsom, Suburban and Surbiton/Cobham lines are all showing ‘minor disruption’.
