Previous victims of the Croydon cat killer
A decapitated cat has been found in the Mitcham Cricket Green conservation area.
Stuart Wilkes was walking near his house in Morlens Close at about 9.30am on Monday (May 15) when he found the body.
South Norwood Animal Rescue and Liberty (SNARL) believe one person - sometimes known as the UK Cat Killer or the M25 Animal Killer - is behind the murder and mutilation of more than 200 animals in recent years.
Mr Wilkes said he reported the incident to the police, who took the black cat's body away for forensic analysis.
Police told Mr Wilkes that a fox had recently been killed in the area in the same way.
The cat's owners have not yet come forward.
