The article What have you Dun? (April 2) gives credence to those who have waged a war of disinformation against the development of Dundonald Park and the expansion of the school.
This criticism of the new playground flies in the face of what is the reality of a huge welcome for the new facilities, by local parents and their children. When I took my grandchildren to play in the new playground this weekend, it was standing room only, and a joy to see.
When four years ago I announced the expansion of the primary school I predicted that the scheme would improve the park. That improvement is beginning to happen.
An important lesson to learn in politics, is to refuse to be distracted by the noisy minority of critics, and do what is right for the community.
