Staff, children and families at a primary school in Morden celebrated its 80th anniversary this weekend.
Poplar Primary in Morden enjoyed a week of celebrations to mark the milestone, including a picnic and dance performances, culminating in a summer fair on Saturday, June 29.
Among the guests was Olive Naidoo who was one of the first pupils to attend the school when it opened in 1932 for its first school year.
Mrs Katharine Davies, headteacher at Poplar Primary School, said: "I was delighted with the success of Poplar's special 80th birthday Summer fair and the enthusiasm and support shown by the parents, staff, children, governors and members of our local community - which made it a highlight of the school year!
"A special thank you to Olive Naidoo for attending and sharing her memories with us -she still lives locally and was a pupil at the school when it first opened."
The fair featured a fancy dress competition judged by the deputy mayor, Councillor John Sargeant, and an exhibition of art commemorating the school’s 80th year.
