A former X Factor contestant will headline the Mitcham Carnival.
Wagner, who reached the finals of the 2010 show with his outlandish performances, will be performing on the main stage at the event on Three Kings Piece on Saturday, June 15.
He will be joined by other acts on the day including stunt bike riders Inch Perfect, cheerleaders and stilt-walkers.
The event, which this year carries an environmental theme of ‘Living Mitcham’, will start with a parade from Figges Marsh at noon led by the Mayor of Merton Councillor Krystal Miller.
She said: "This year’s carnival will live up to its great tradition of providing a fun-packed day for people of all ages.
"I hope the community comes along to support and take part in all the activities planned for the day."
The parade will arrive at Three Kings Piece in Mitcham at 12.45pm where there will be entertainment, a fun fair and the final of Mitcham’s Little League cup.
Soldiers from the 210 Transport Squadron Royal Logistic Corps, based in Stonecot Hill Sutton, will also be at the event as well as the Mitcham Latin Band.
There will also be a competition for the wackiest hair-do involving local barbershops and hairdressers.
Merton’s cabinet member for community and culture Coun Nick Draper said: "I’m looking forward to spending the day watching the parade and looking around all the stalls and attractions - Mitcham Carnival is Merton’s reminder that summer is here."
