A Merton housing scheme has won two London Evening Standard Housing Awards.
Brenley Park in Cedars Avenue, Mitcham scooped a win in two out of ten categories - Best Development in the Affordable Homes Sector and Best First-Time Buy.
The £26m development features 169 new homes, including 72 apartments for private ownership, 64 for shared ownership and the rest for social rent.
Merton Council worked alongside Notting Hill Housing Group, Wilmott Dixon Homes and the Homes and Communities Agency to develop the seven-acre site.
Councillor Andrew Judge, cabinet member for environmental sustainability and regeneration, said: "I'm delighted that Brenley Park has been awarded two excellent accolades which recognise the high standard and good value of homes in Merton, particularly after the successful official opening of Concord House last week.
"Both schemes show that Merton can deliver quality and affordability in its developments, whether for first-time buyers, shared ownership or the affordable rent market.
"We have also been careful to ensure that Brenley Park is good for the environment - the homes are placed in a new park and are served by a combined heat and power plant and district heating.
"Congratulations to everyone who has worked on the scheme over the years."
