I don’t know if Councillor Peter Walker is aware or not, but Mitcham had a fine cinema called the Majestic which was demolished for a cynical Sainsbury’s development and the appalling Majestic way complex.

Also the old swimming baths were obliterated for an access road.

Are the present council going to admit that previous administrations and planners got it wrong with this blatant policy of dumbed-down architecture?
