An elderly woman has died after being mown down in Raynes Park, police have confirmed.
The victim, aged in her late 70s, was seen sprawled out on the ground near Waitrose supermarket in Coombe Lane, Raynes Park.
She was hit by a silver BMW car at about 5.30pm on Saturday, December 15.
The Metropolitan police, who cordoned off the immediate area that evening, confirmed today the woman died in hospital on Saturday night and are now appealing for information.
A police spokesman: "Officers know the identity of the deceased who lived locally but await formal identification. Next of kin are aware.
"The driver of the BMW stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests."
A post mortem will be scheduled in due course and officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit, based at Hampton, are continuing the investigation.
