A man was found dead this morning after apparently falling and not being found for several hours.
The body of the man, in his 60s, was discovered in the early hours of this morning in Jubilee Way, south Wimbledon.
It is understood the man had sustained minor head injuries after an accident and his body was lying by the road for a number of hours before being found.
This afternoon, police said the man's death is not being treated as suspicious and his identity has not yet been confirmed.
The borough commander, Detective Chief Superintendent Darren Williams, said: "At this time police are carrying out inquiries and trying to establish an identity and inform the next of kin.
"We would ask anyone in the area who may have seen anything to step forward as we are keen to speak to witnesses."
Witnesses should contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
