A new mosque for the Ahmadiyya Muslim community has officially opened in Mitcham.
The Baitul Ehsan Mosque, which has been built in converted offices in the Willow Lane Trading Estate in Mitcham, was officially opened at a ceremony on Saturday, January 7.
The head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, inaugurated the new mosque by unveiling a commemorative plaque, leading prayers and delivering an address to the gathered Ahmadi Muslims.
The new five-story mosque, emblazoned with the Ahmadiyya slogan 'Love for all, Hatred for none', also includes conference rooms, offices, a games room, as well as prayer halls.
