A pop-up gallery displaying art from new designers, traditional makers and local artists will kick off the Colliers Wood Arts Festival next week.
Curated by textiles design graduate Kimberley Westwood, the gallery will be open from 11.30am to 4pm at Colliers Wood Community Centre in the High Street.
Miss Westwood, 24, an assistant at the Sound Lounge recording studio in Merton Abbey Mills, said: "I studied print textiles for three years at uni so I have quite a lot of creative friends so I thought it would be a great opportunity to get involved with the festival.
"There will be predominantly local artists and new designers because I know how difficult it can be to find space to exhibit and sell your work."
There will be 25 artists exhibiting a range of work at the gallery, from printed handbags to paintings and upholstered furniture.
